Edgar Cole - Class Of 1947

Rev. Edgar Clayton Cole, 76, of Warsaw, Ind., died Friday, April 16, 2004, at Kosciusko Community Hospital in Warsaw, Ind.  Burial with military services by American Legion #49 and VFW 1126 will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Warsaw, Ind.

Rev. Cole was born on January 1, 1928, in Olney, the son of Ben and Jennie Cole. He married Arlene Gaither on April 14, 1950, in Bridgeport. She survives.

He lived in Central Illinois and Warsaw, Ind. He was an ordained minister and an Illinois Central Railroad Station Agent. He was maintenance supervisor at Friendshiphouse and worked in the maintenance department at the County Justice Building and County Courthouse. He was a member of Church of God in Warsaw, Ind. and was a World War II U.S. Army veteran.

Rev. Cole is survived by his wife, Arlene Cole, of Warsaw, Ind.; a son, Lyn Edgar Cole, of Warsaw, Ind.; a brother, Warren Cole, of Morton; twin sisters, Eloise and Louise Burkybile, of Casey; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a loving daughter, Sandra Cole Waters.
