Florence E Holtz, 89, of Olney, formerly of Dundas, died on June 07, 2018 in Olney, IL. Florence was born on October 21, 1928 in Monticello, KY, the daughter of William Putnam and Maymie Estelle (Crawford) Castle. She married Russell "Hub" G. Holtz on April 16, 1949 in Olney, IL. Russell preceded her in death on May 07, 2009.

Florence worked for years at the Shoe Factory in Olney, IL until her two daughters came along. She will be remembered for her beautiful church song humming's, her love for her grandchildren, and her oatmeal cookies that were always on hand. She was always ready to show a picture or tell a story about the grandkids. Florence kept a steady stream of letters to her grandchildren and never forgot to make a birthday call or send anniversary greetings to any of her two daughters, son-in-laws, 8 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren.

Florence is survived by her daughters, Ruth (Mike) Thomann of Olney and Kathy (Richard) Patterson of Newton; grandchildren; Alyne (Adam) Williams of Muncie, IN; Matthew (Dana) of Mackinaw, IL; Andrew (Amanda) Thomann of Olney; Keane Thomann (Sofie Frandsen) in Abyhoj, Denmark; Marsha (David) Foshee of Mt. Carmel; Karen (Ben) Christner of Neoga; Kyle (Thom) Thomas-Hughes of Peekskill, NY; Trace (Melanie) Thomas of Bluffton, SC; Great Grandchildren, Grant, Luke, and Jacklin Williams of Muncie, IN; Audrey and Lane Thomann of Mackinaw; Casey and Jack Thomann of Olney; Samantha Foshee of Mt. Carmel; Christian (Draven) Foshee of Havelock, NC; Lilian Foshee of Mt. Carmel; Tate, Gage, and Reed Christner of Neoga; great-great grandchildren, Alexander Foshee of Mt. Carmel; Zailyn and Anderson Foshee of Havelock, NC; nephew and nieces.

She was preceded in death by her husband and 11 brothers and sisters.
