James Brinkley

James H. "Butch" Brinkley, 75, of Olney died Sunday August 7, 2005 at his residence.  Services at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Wingert officiating. Burial with full military rites in Crest Haven Memorial Park near Claremont.

Mr. Brinkley was born on August 26, 1929 in Richland County, the son of Otis Franklin and Ethel (Utz) Brinkley. He married Dorothy Brashear on November 25, 1953. She survives.

He was a retired pipefitter. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of American Legion, Olney Eagles Lodge and Local Union 157.

Mr. Brinkley is survived by his wife, Dorothy Brinkley of Olney; a son, Jim Brinkley and his wife, Pam of Olney; a daughter, Janet Mason and her husband, Monty of Elburn; three brothers, Harold Brinkley of Olney, Caleb Brinkley of Lawrenceville and Herman Brinkley of Olney; a sister Evelyn Brown of Olney; firve grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and five brothers, Dale, Frank, Gerald, Raymond and George.
