James Charles Yeager

James Charles Yeager, 86 of Montgomery, Texas, passed from life temporal to life eternal on Sunday, August 26, 2012. A memorial service was held at Living Savior Lutheran Church in Montgomery.

Born in Cushing, Oklahoma, on August 9, 1926, James served with the Army Air Corps from January 4, 1944 to November 12, 1946. On August 14 of 1951 he married the love of his life, Mary Gene Yeager,who passed away in 2010.

He worked with the Texaco Oil company and retired as a senior Vice President in 1986, after a long, exciting and very successful career. Known to his many acquaintances as "Big Jim", he cherished his family, his friends and life. Among his many passions were jazz music, painting, carpentry, fishing, table-tennis and reading. He was a devoted geoscientist & maintained his interest in physics until his passing.

After moving to Montgomery County, he became a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church in Conroe, and later transferred to Living Savior Lutheran Church in Montgomery.

"Big Jim" is survived by his three children, Tracee, Robert and Eric, their spouses David, Caroline and Susan, their families, his many grandchildren and numerous great grand children. He will be greatly missed by them all.
