Robert Wimer

Robert Wimer, 74, of Palmetto, Florida, formerly of Olney died Saturday January 27, 2001 at Manatee Memorial Hospital in Bradenton, Florida.  Funeral services at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Olney with Reverend Keith Michaels officiating. Burial with military rites in Crest Haven Cemetery near Claremont.

Mr. Wimer was born on January 4, 1927, in Koshkonong, Mo., the son of Mark and Mildred (Brown) Wimer. He married Virginia Bunting on September 19, 1992 in Olney. She survives.

He was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Olney, was a member of Masonic Lodge, American Legion and Elks; and was a World War II U.S. Army veteran and Merchant Marine.

Mr. Wimer is survived by his wife, Virginia Wimer of Palmetto, Fla.; three daughters, Jean Dickerson and her husband, Jeff of Morton, Bobbie Sue Riggs and her husband, Leon of Stillwater, Okla. and Sharon Wynalda and her husband, David of Stillwater, Okla.; a step-son, Ernest Marshall and his wife, Regina of San Antonio, Texas; a step-daughter, Louana Ervin and her husband, John of Guston, Ky.; and seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
