August Pampe

August "Augie" Pampe, 61, died Thursday, August 27, 1987 at his home in Parkersburg.  Burial in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Pampe was born on Dec. 24, 1925 in Parkersburg to Allen H. Pampe and Jennie (Dean) Pampe. He first married Norma Jean Markman on Dec. 21, 1949, in Parkersburg. He later married Etta Mae Kinkade Schrader on September 12, 1980, in Parkersburg.

He was a meat cutter at Jack's Meat Processing in Parkersburg. He was a veteran of World War II, a trustee and member of the Parkersburg United Methodist Church, a board member for the Oak Hill Cemetery, a leader for 23 years of the Early Bird 4-H Club and a member of the Parkersburg Ruritan Club and Richland Post 130 of the American Legion.

In addition to his wife, Etta Mae, Mr. Pampe is survived by one son, Paul Pampe of Parkersburg; five daughters, Sharon Roth of San Marcos, TX, Peggy Bugh of Tyler, TX, Janie Steber of Newton, IL, Cathy Arteberry of Parkersburg and Julie Pampe of Albion, IL; three stepdaughters, Rita Diffenhauer of Herrin, IL, Retha Smith of Manchester, MO and Rebecca Adcox of Mt. Juliet, TN; Three brothers, James Pampe of Rockford, IL, Robert Pampe of Parkersburg and David Pampe of Olney; his mother, Mrs. Jennie Pampe of Parkersburg; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one sister and his father.
