Wilma Hudson (Slichenmyer)

Wilma Hudson Slichenmyer class of 1944Wilma M. Slichenmyer, age 90 of Olney passed away March 31, 2017 in Springfield, Illinois. Funeral services at Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home with burial in Crest Haven Cemetery, rural Claremont.

Wilma was born January 14, 1927 in Richland County, Illinois a daughter of William and Estella (Doney) Hudson.  She married Stanley Slichenmyer on September 7, 1946 in St. Louis, MO. He preceeded her in death on February 3, 2010.

Wilma enjoyed quilting, crossword puzzles, gardening, baking, and taking walks. She worked for the State of Illinois as an unemployment representative for 29 years and was a member of the Elm Street Christian Church.

She is survived by her son, Bill Slichenmyer and wife Patti of Sumner; daughter, Janet Bandy and husband John of Chatham, IL; granddaughters, Christine Shaffer and Katie Shaffer; great rganddaughter, Kristan Shaffer; sisters, Marian Eagleson and Norma Jean Stoltz; sisters-in-law, Mary Ellen Semple, Audrey Hudson, and Kathy Slichenmyer; brother-in-law, Rex Tucker; and several nieces and nephews.

Wilma was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Reuben Hudson; sisters, Sarah Mae Howington, Florence Stallard, Patricia Gaede and Carolyn Tucker.

Rena Boley (Boley) (1970)

Thought back to my childhood. I spent a lot of time at Wilma and "Slicks" home playing with Janet...wonderful family and great family friends. My thoughts and prayers to family and friends. Rena
