vera fritschle walters class of 44Vera Mae Walters, 90, formerly of Olney, passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2017 in Bradenton, Florida. She was born on October 15, 1926 in Richland County to Lee and Minnie (Miller) Fritschle. Vera was preceded in death by husband, Stanley Walters after 63 years of marriage, her parents and one brother, Robert Fritschle.

She is survived by two daughters, Janet Wyatt (Mel) of Earlington, Ky., Nancy McCarty (Geoff Seger) of Bradenton FL., two sons, Mark Walters (Sheri) of Naperville, Il. and Dan Walters (Amy) of Springfield, Il.; sister, Betty Lou Gerber (Paul) of Sarasota, FL., brothers Fred Fritschle of Umatilla, FL., Don (Louise) Fritschle of Olney, Ed (Darlene) Fritschle of Claremont, and George (Jane) Fritschle of Olney, sister-in-law, Jeanne Walters of Bridgeport, Il.; grandchildren, Layla McCarty (Shaun Burton), John Wyatt (Heather), Jill Dilday (David), Emily Bergschneider, Matthew Walters, Elyse Walters, Lauren Walters, and Seth Walters; great grandchildren, Donavan Dilday, Cash Burton, and Ruby Wyatt.

Vera had been in the care of her loving daughter, Nancy and son-in-law Geoff in Florida for the past six years.

Vera was a seamstress and homemaker who loved to bake and sew quilts. She worked many years for JC Penneys and as a tailor and seamstress for Fessels. Vera was dearly loved by many nieces and nephews as her and Stanley's home was always open to family and friends.

Services at Trinity Lutheran Church in Olney with Pastor George Fritschle. Burial at Crest Haven Cemetery.
