Emil Mosser

Emil Mosser, 77, of White Heath, died Thursday May 30, 2002 at Kirby Hospital in Monticello.  Burial  in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Champaign.

Mr. Mosser was born on December 7, 1924 in Dundas, the son of Emil C. and Edith (Seiler) Mosser. He married Mary Brown on July 21, 1979 in Champaign. She survives.

He was a graduate of Olney Township High School, a 1948 graduate of University of Illinois with a bachelor's degree in Agriculture and a 1962 graduate of Southern Illinois University with a Master's Degree in farm management. He served in the U.S. Army from 1943 to 1946. He worked as an Extension Specialist in Agriculture for the University of Illinois for 41 years. As a member of First Christian Church he was an elder and involved with the Seniors Ministry, secretary of the Board of Elders, taughts Sunday School classes.  He was a member of the Kiwanis.

Mr. Mosser is survived by his wife Mary Mosser of White Heath; two sons, Wayne Mark Mosser of Urbana and Keith McKinley Mosser of Fairfax, Va.; one daughter, Kay Louise Mosser of Urbana; and one grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Maxine McKinley Mosser on May 8, 1978 and his parents.
