Myron Burgener

Myron Junius Burgener, 81, of Dundas, crossed the bar to his eternal, heavenly home Sunday, February 17, 2008, at Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney.  Funeral services at Saron Church of Grand Prairie. Burial with full military rites will be in Saron Cemetery in rural Dundas.

Mr. Burgener was born February 26, 1926, the second son of Julius Arthur and Minnie Edna (Von Almen) Burgener, in German Township in Richland County. He married Mary Lue Walls on February 10, 1952. She survives.

He was a retired dairy and grain farmer. He served in the U.S. Navy from May 1944 to May 1946, serving in the Philippine Liberation. He was a member of Saron Church of Grand Prairie and American Legion Post #30.

Mr. Burgener is survived by his wife of 56 years, Mary Lue Burgener, of Dundas; son, Billy Burgener and his wife, Pauline, of Dundas; daughter, Carolyn Totten and her husband, Douglas, of Olney; grandchildren, Karina Burgener, of Alton, Simon Burgener and Audra Burgener, of Dundas, and Donald Totten and Christina Totten, of Olney.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Julius and Minnie Burgener; brother, Marlyn Burgener; and granddaughter, Myra Burgener.
