Scott Hough - Class Of 1981

Scott Hough

Scott D. Hough, 55, of Olney, passed away May 04, 2019 at Carle Richland Memorial Hospital. He was born August 30, 1963 in Olney, the son of Pat and Carolyn (Richey) Hough.

He is survived by his wife Beth Hough; daughter, Eryn Elizabeth Hough; sons Owen Patrick Hough and Evan Byrl Hough; mother Carolyn Hough; brothers, Steven Hough, and Shannon (Lezlee) Hough; sister Patty (Phil) Wilkinson; uncles Jim (Susie) Hough and Jerry (Charlotte) Hough; aunt Bonnie Hill, and several nieces and nephews.

Scott loved the outdoors, and enjoyed hunting, camping, gardening, and fishing on the Embarrass River. He was very personable and made lifelong friends wherever he went. Many would agree that Scott had an infectious laugh. He would help out in military parades and was a member of the Sons of the American Legion. Scott was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone, even if it meant giving the shirt off his back. He was the self-proclaimed black sheep of the family and was always the life of the party. He worked mainly as an electrician, but he also helped out at Runyon's Landscaping and Nursery off and on from the time that he was in Highschool. He will be missed by all that knew him.

Scott was preceded in death by his grandparents, father, and his aunt Elwanda Blank-McCraw.

Cremation rites were accorded, and a private family burial will take place at a later date.
