Frank A. Beam, 58, of Suwanee, Ga., formerly of Olney, died April 17, 2002 at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta, Ga.  Burial in Crest Haven Cemetery near Claremont.

Mr. Beam was born on May 30, 1943, in Olney, the son of Albert and Helen (Shultz) Beam. He married Carolyn Dianne Shinall on February 18, 1984, in Gwinette County, Ga. She survives.

He was a retired service technician at Eastman Kodak and a Vietnam Navy veteran.

Mr. Beam is survived by his wife, Carolyn Dianne Beam of Suwanee, Ga.; his mother, Helen (Shultz) Beam of Olney; a son, James Beam and his wife, Melissa of Olney; a sister Marla Boxell and her husband, Neil of Pasadena, Texas; and three grandchildren and one nephew.

He was preceded in death by his father, one sister and one brother.
