Benjamin Day (English 1946-1949)

Benjamin F. Day, 86, of 2025 E. Lincoln Street, Bloomington, Illinois, died Friday, Nov. 19, 1999 at Martin Healthcare Center, Bloomington. There will be no services.

Mr. Day was born May 23, 1913, at Charleston, a son of Zach and Maude Martin Day. He married Virginia Lively on Jan. 10, 1945, at Charleston. She survives.

He is also survived by one daughter, Susan Day, Ames, Iowa; and one brother, Wilson Day, Payson.

He was preceded in death by one son.

Mr. Day served in the Army in the Pacific theater during World War II. He was a school teacher and guidance counselor at Joliet Central High School. He retired in 1973. He was a member of the Unitarian Church.
