Neil O. Wilson - Class Of 1941

Neil O. "Stormy" Wilson, 77, of Inverness, Florida died Saturday June 3, 2000 at Mariner Health Center in Inverness, Florida.  Funeral services at Inverness with Minister Max Wilkins officiating. Burial at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida with full military rites.

Mr. Wilson was born November 15, 1922 in Noble, the son of W. E. and Blanche (Howe) Wilson. He married Florence Porter November 30, 1948 in Olney. She survives.

He was a farmer and owned and operated Wilson's Mobile Home Park in Olney for several years. He raced midgets and stock cars in the tri-state area for many years. He was a World War II veteran serving in the U.S. Army Air Corp in Europe and was a prisoner of war. He was a member of the Olney American Legion, Veteran of Foreign Wars, Elks and Eagles.

Mr. Wilson is survived by his wife, Florence Wilson of Inverness, Fla.; five sons, Dennis Wilson and his wife, Joy of Hernando, Fla., David Wilson and his wife, Saundra, John Wilson and his wife, Judi, Jeffrey Wilson and his wife, Doris, all of Inverness, Fla., and Virginia Bawcom and husband, Charles of Inverness, Fla.; 19 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Clayton and one brother, Marshall Wilson.
