Delbert Conrad Scranton, 71, of West Salem died Friday March 25, 1994 in his home. Funeral services at Ingram Funeral Home in West Salem with Rev. LeRoy Allison officiating. Burial in Moravian Cemetery with full military rites performed.

Scranton was born August 13, 1922 in Richland County, the son of Zenis and Myrtle (Worstell) Scranton. He married Mary Hedrick February 14, 1948.

He was a farmer and a carpenter. He was a World War II veteran (TEC 4 ~ U.S. Army), and a member of the West Salem American Legion.

He is survived by his wife of West Salem; three sons, George Scranton and Philip Scranton both of West Salem and Delbert Scranton of Katy, Texas; a daughter, Nancy Carter of Robinson; eleven grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

Scranton was preceded in death by his parents.
