James Williamson

James W. Williamson, 48, of 104 Porter St., Danville, formerly of Olney, passed away last night, December 24, 1970 at Carle Clinic in Urbana.

He had lived in Danville for the past nine years, where he was store manager for General Wholesale Refrigeration Co.

He was born April 16, 1922 at Bennett, Iowa, son of Omer and Emily Jackson Williamson. His parents are deceased.  He was married to the former Lula Sterchi.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, Lula, are a daughter, Mitzi at home; two sons, J.R. and Gairi both at home; and a sister, Mrs. Robert (Kay) Brown of Olney.

Mr. Williamson was a member of the Danville United Methodist Church, Olney VFW Post 4226, Olney Elks Lodge 926 and the Danville Chamber of Commerce.

He was assistant scout leader of Troop 6, Order of the Arrow.

Funeral services at Zirkle Mortuary in Olney, with Rev. Richard Newhall officiating. Graveside military rites by Olney veterans organizations at Memorial Garden section of Haven Hill Cemetery in Olney.
