Wayne D. Seely, 76, of Adel, Georgia, formerly of Olney died Monday, December 7, 1998 at Smith Hospital in Hahira, Ga.  Burial in Haven Hill Cemetery, Olney.

Mr. Seely was born October 22, 1922 in Richland County, the son of Lowell A. and Alma E. Riggs Seely. He married Lenora May.

Mr. Seely served as Richland County Clerk for 20 years and was a member of First Baptist Church in Adel, Ga.

He is survived by his wife; one son, Gary Dale Seely and his wife, Mary Lou of Las Vegas; one daughter, Terri Lea Newberry and her husband, Jim of Adel; one sister-in-law, Agnes Seely of Olney; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Dale, one infant son, Keith May and one son-in-law, Anthony Harrell.
