Dean C. Hoel

Dean C. Hoel, 80, of Penn Hills, Pennsylvania died Tuesday February 4, 2003 at UPMC St. Margaret Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pa.  Services at Burket-Truby Funeral Home, Inc. in Oakmont, Pa. with Reverend Frank DeLuce officiating.

Mr. Hoel was born on May 14, 1922 in Sterling, Col., the son of Roy C. and Edna A. (Sterchi) Hoel. He married Anna McNeil and she survives.

He was a retired research chemist with Gulf Research of Harmarville, Pa. He was a World War II Army veteran and a member of Unity Presbyterian Church in Penn Hills, Pa. He graduated from University of Illinois with a Bachelor of Science degree.

Mr. Hoel is survived by his wife of 58 years, Anna McNeil Hoel of Penn Hills, Pa.; a daughter, Barbara Fratangelo and her husband, Nicholas of Penn Hills, Pa.; five grandchildren and two cousins, Elizabeth Parke and Katherine Worley both of Olney.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Deanna Moyles.
