Joe Bunn

Joseph H. Bunn, 80, of Olney, died Thursday August 14, 2003 at Burgin Manor in Olney.  Burial with full military rites in Crest Haven Memorial Park near Claremont.

Mr. Bunn was born on August 21, 1922 in Richland County, the son of Earl and Leila (Miller) Bunn. He married Louise Cecil on August 30, 1942. They enjoyed 61 years of marriage. She survives.

He was a retired farmer and was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and an avid fisherman. He was a member of Beulah United Methodist Church in Sumner. He was a member of American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars and was a U.S. Army veteran serving during World War II in Patton's Third Army. He was a recipient of the Bronze Star.

Mr. Bunn is survived by his wife, Louise E. Bunn of Olney; two sons, Gerry Bunn and his wife, Donna of Walton, Ind. and George Bunn and his wife, Kay of Kilmarnock, Va.; three daughters, Judi Braut and her husband, Paul of Lawrenceville, Jean Lemke and her husband, Paul of Nashville, Tenn. and Joyce Turpen and her husband, Chuck of Evansville, Ind.; and seven grandchildren; six step-grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and nine step-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
