Donna L. Goss, 79, of Olney, passed away on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at Carle Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney.  Donna was born on February 2, 1939 in Olney, IL, the daughter of Paul and Lucinda Helen (Mayo) Sterchi.  She married Delbert “Deb” Goss on August 28, 1955 in Olney, IL.  He preceded her in death on April 19, 2015.

Donna was an excellent cook and enjoyed collecting recipes and cookbooks. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. Donna had several cats and loved animals. She took pleasure in feeding the birds and wild animals that visited her backyard. Donna enjoyed genealogy and tracing her family's roots. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and was known as "Gran" and "Granny" by her grandchildren. Donna will be missed by all those that knew her.

Donna is survived by her daughter, Cindy Zerkle and husband Tom of Olney; grandchildren, Aubrey Zerkle and husband Mark Claire of St. Andrews, Scotland, and Austin Zerkle and fiancee Amy Sonnenberg of Chicago, IL; brothers-in-law, Harvey Wright of Huntsville, AL, Gerald Goss of Melvindale, MI; sisters-in-law, Carolyn Baldwin of Detroit, MI, and Linda Street of Southgate, MI; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sister Marilyn Wright.

A funeral service will be held at 11:30 AM on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at the Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home in Olney, with a visitation beginning at 10:00 AM.  Burial will follow in Crest Haven Memorial Park.
