Charles W. Bechtel, age 81, passed away peacefully at his home in Cottonwood, Arizona, on Tuesday, September 3, 2019.

He was the son of Wayne and Virginia Bechtel, who preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death was his wife, Naomi R. Bechtel.

Charles’ surviving children include his son, Scott (wife Terri); daughter Cathy (husband Chuck); stepsons Ron, Rodger, Jimmy (wife Esther), Rodney; and stepdaughter Carma (husband Ray). He had six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Charles enjoyed a long career in forestry, working as timber staff for Kaibab National Forest.

He spent his retirement years becoming an accomplished woodworker in his home woodshop.

Memorial Mass held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 700 N. Bill Gray Road in Cottonwood. Internment of Charles and his wife, Naomi, into All Souls Cemetery immediately following the Mass.
