Dorothy Mae Fritchey Steward, 84, of La Mesa died March 14, 2005.

She was born November 2, 1920  in Lawrenceville, Ill., and was a registered nurse.

Survivors include her daughters, C. Denise Brown of Chantilly, Va., and Joyce Knighton of San Diego; sons, J.R. Steward of Phoenix and Ray Steward of Manhattan Beach; sister; Garoldine Davis of Effingham, Ill.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

No services were planned.
