James Parker

James L. Parker, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend, passed away in Everett, Washington, October 17, 2002, at the age of 82.  Services held at Floral Hills Chapel Cemetery in Lynnwood.

Jim was born September 24, 1920 in Parkersburg, Illinois to Harvey and Iva (Stoltz) Parker where he attended school and lived on the family farm.

Jim served in WWII in the U.S. Navy from 1940-46 in the Asiatic and American Pacific Campaign.

In 1946 he began his apprenticeship in the sheet metal workers union where he worked in Washington as a journeyman until his retirement in 1982.

James is survived by his wife of nearly 53 years, Wanda (Smith), his children; Sharen Holland of LakStevens, Sheila Bunney of Everett and Jim Parker, Jr. (Joni) of Centralia, WA, as well as seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Jim enjoyed gardening, dancing, hunting, painting and woodworking.
