James M. Meadows, 52, of Houston, Texas, formerly of Olney, passed away unexpectedly while he was working at his office desk on Wednesday in November 1973, according to word received here by his sister, Mrs. Elmer (Capitola) Miller of Olney.

Mr. Meadows was born in Olney on July 18, 1921, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. James A. Meadows. He was a graduate of the Olney Township High School and was a veteran of World War II.

Shortly after graduation from high school, he began working for the National Supply Co. in Olney and had been employed for about 30 years by the firm.

He was married to the former Marilee McCurdy.

Surviving are his wife, two sons, Jon Mac of Shreveport, La. and Jeffrey of Corpus Christi, Texas; two sisters, Mrs. Miller of Olney and Mrs. Geneva Cunningham of Craig, Colo.

Burial in Houston, Texas.
