Phillip E. Stevens

Philip E. "Phil" Stevens, 65, of Olney passed away at his residence on December 20, 2013. Phil was born June 13, 1948 in Olney to Lloyd and Anna Pauline (Pampe) Stevens. He married Kanda (Pruntuparpas) on Apr 11, 1971 in  Thailand, she survives him in death.

Phil was a US Air Force Vietnam veteran and a member of the Olney VFW, Petroleum Club, Olney Elks #926, and a member of the Immanuel United Methodist Church. He was Owner/Operator of Stevens Refrigeration, Heating and Air Conditioning. Phil was an avid outdoorsman; he was a hunter, a fisherman, and a woodworker. He loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Phil is survived by wife, Kanda Stevens of Olney; father, Lloyd Stevens of Olney, son, Nathan A. Stevens and wife Sarah of Olney, son, Justin E. Stevens of Olney and Amy Beyers; grandchildren, Gage, Meah, and Nora Stevens;  sister, Nancy Wallace and husband Bob of Dundas, IL, sister, Patricia Stemmley and husband Jay of Bethalto, IL, twins, Mark Stevens of Olney and Marcia Hoagland and husband Dennis of Bethalto, IL, sister,Jeanne Dunahee and husband Jeff of Salem, IL; nephews, Josh Dunahee, Robby Wallace, Matt Stemmley, and Steven Stemmley

Phil is preceded in death by his mother

Sorry to hear about Phil's passing. We always joked about being cousins, but not related. Kanda I wish you the best and remember the good times in New Life Class at IUM.
