Jim Glover

James ‘Jim’ Glover, age 70 of Calhoun, passed away Saturday, August 4, 2018. He died peacefully in his home, surrounded by his family. A private burial service held at a later date. Cremation rites accorded.

Jim was born on March 2, 1948, in Olney to Floyd and Anna Lee (Jennings) Glover. He later married Carolyn Sue (Harrolle) Glover on June 4, 1966 in Olney.

Jim proudly worked for the City of Olney before retiring in 2010. He loved caring for his turkeys and pigeons, watching westerns and playing with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Jim was greatly loved and loved greatly in return. He will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and everyone who knew him.

Jim is survived by his wife Sue Glover; sons James Glover and wife Shelly and Jeffrey Glover and wife Pamela; grandchildren Kenneth Glover and wife Danielle, Mariah Glover, Katherine Glover and Julia Glover; great-grandchildren Elliott Glover, Gemma Glover, Kalvin Glover and Nala Glover; and sisters Brenda (Glover) Matherly and Mitzi (Glover) Long.

He was preceded in death by his parents Floyd and Anna Lee Glover and his sisters Linda (Glover) Auldridge and Jody (Glover) Grayling.

Yes, Jim was a stand up guy! I remember Jim from hi school, we were friends, I think. Jim was so easy to talk to, and I did see him at work on the job, for the city. So many of my friends or classmates dying today, makes me wonder, what do you have in store for me, Lord??? Jim, Bob Forester, Gary Toliver, all my age. Rest in peace Jim, with our other friends. You were a fine guy to know. Also, I feel for Carolyn. Just lost her brother, now you??? I am sorry Caroyln, you are a fine lady.
