James R. Isaacs, 49, of Clay City, died Friday, July 14, 2000 at Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney.  Funeral services at Stasi-Grove Funeral Home with Reverend Neal Kenley officiating. Burial in Haven Hill Cemetery in Olney.

Mr. Isaacs was born May 19, 1951, the son of Robert and Betty (Salyers) Isaacs in Christopher.  He married  Pamela Sue Bryan on March 13, 1971 at First Baptist Church in Olney.  She survives.

He was a retired Staff Sergeant with the Illinois National Guard and drove a truck for Ames Company for many years.

Mr. Isaacs is survived by his wife, Sue Isaacs of Clay City; a daughter, Melanie Ryker and her husband, Randy of Olney; his father, Robert Isaacs; his mother, Betty Wendling and her husband, Curtis of Olney; two brothers, Michael Isaacs and his wife, Linda of Princeton, Ky. and Michael Wendling and his wife, Briget of Calhoun; two sisters, Dixie Smith and her husband, Steve of  Wentzville, Mo. and Heidi Reynolds of Oak Park, Calif.; one grandchild; three nieces; two nephews and one great-nephew.
