Sidney Louis Battistella, 59 passed away at his home in Cumming, Georgia August 28, 2008.

Sidney was  born March 9, 1949 in Olney, IL son of Secundo Paul and Patsy Ruth (Grupe) Battistella.  He attended St. Joseph Catholic School and graduated from East Richland High School in 1968.

He served in United States Air Force and was self-employed for the past 20 years. 

He is preceded in death by his father Secundo Paul Battistella and his mother Patsy Ruth Grupe.

Sidney is survived by one daughter Dawn Ruth Battistella (Fairfax, VA). Oh beloved brother of ours, you will sorely be missed by two brothers Robert L. Battistella (Mary) and Paul A. Battistella, a twin sister Cynthia L. (William) Dukes, all of Alexander City and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial arrangements are at St. James Episcopal Church in Alex City.
