Janet Jean Hamilton, age 61, of Mascoutah, IL passed away on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at Memorial Hospital East in Shiloh, IL. Funeral services honoring her life at Schilling Funeral Home with Pastor Brad Brown officiating. Burial at Dodge Grove Cemetery, Mattoon, IL.
Janet was born on December 3, 1956 in Olney, IL the daughter of Robert and Bonnie (Cummins) Jennings. She married Ronald Hamilton on July 11, 2008.

Janet was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening and flowers. She was an avid reader and loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed, but fondly remembered by all those who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her husband, Ronald Hamilton of Mascoutah, IL; children, Chris (Alyssa) Kirts of Mascoutah, IL, Amanda (Tim) Rappe of Sullivan, IL, Annie (Andrew) Schmitz of Freeburg, IL and Jordan Hamilton of Enid, OK; grandchildren, Caitlin, Payton, Paige, Lilly and Avery; father, Robert Jennings of Olney, IL; brothers, Wayne (Jenny) Jennings of Watauga, TX and Mike Jennings of Olney, IL; and sister, Ann (David) Hoover of Olney, IL.

Janet was preceded in death by her mother.

Memorial donations in her honor are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
