James Gerald "Jerry" Fehrenbacher, 52, of Grand Chain and formerly of Olney, died Tuesday August 26, 2008 at Shawnee Christian Nursing Center in Herrin.  Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery with full military rites performed by Olney veterans organizations.

Mr. Fehrenbacher was born September 23, 1955 in Olney, the son of Roy and Lucille (Hoffman) Fehrenbacher.

He worked as a machinist at Caterpillar for 25 years, was a U.S. Army Korean War veteran and a volunteer firefighter in Grand Chain.

Mr. Fehrenbacher is survived by his brother, Bill Fehrenbacher and his wife, Margaret; brother, Ed Fehrenbacher and his wife, Kathy; brother, Terry Fehrenbacher; sister, Jody Graham and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Fehrenbacher was preceded in death by his parents, and twin sisters, Patricia and Mary Louise Fehrenbacher.
