Brent Wayne Worthall, 54, of Riverside, Calif., born Aug. 19, 1954, in Nashville, Ark., died Monday, April 20, 2009, at his home after a long illness. He was cremated on April 27, 2009.

Brent was a 1972 graduate of East Richland High School in Olney, Ill., and served in the United States Navy. Brent worked at Luxfer Cylinders until he retired in March, 2008. He was an avid comic book collector and day trader. He loved music, computer technology, science fiction and technical books, and movies. Brent was confirmed and baptized at St. Alban's Episcopal Church in Olney, Ill.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Peggy Worthall who died in Moses Lake, Wash., in 2002; and his beloved dog Babe the Blue Shadow, a Neopolitan Mastiff.

Surviving are his father, Mike Worthall; two sisters, Maggie (Larry Tribout) Boone of Belleville, Ill., and Kathy Worthall of Shiloh, Ill.; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
