Carl W. Boatman

Carl W. Boatman 90 of Colorado Springs passed away on December 6, 2014 at Pikes Peak Hospice. He was a loving father, grandfather, husband, brother and friend.

He was born in Olney, Illinois on November 28, 1924 to Ernest and Ruth Boatman. He grew up in Olney and finished high school and joined the Navy. He married Rosemary Boatman in 1972 in Colorado Springs. He retired from School District 11 after 19 years.

He loved scroll sawing, going to the mountains, visiting Cripple Creek, gambling and collecting unusual rocks.

He is survived by six children, Roger (Shirley) Boatman, Nancy Montagnoli, Melva (Vic) Cook, Barbara (Bob) White, Stephen Voyles, and Karen (Walter) Weselowskie. Carl is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his wife Rosemary Boatman.

A Memorial Service held at Grace Lutheran Church, located at 1128 E. Boulder St., Colorado Springs, CO.
