Donald L. Skelton, 62, of Olney died Monday January 19, 2009 at Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney.  Burial in Union Cemetery in Fairfield with full military rites at graveside.

Mr. Skelton was born on August 21, 1946 in Richland County, the son of Jesse and Bertha (Nichols) Skelton. He married Ruth (Windle) Skelton on September 1, 2007 in Olney and she survives.

He was a retired truck driver and member of Olney Free Methodist Church. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, Eagles Lodge and Gold Wing Road Riders Association.

Mr. Skelton is survived by his wife, Ruth of Olney; stepdaughters, Annetta Rose of Olney and Ruth Ellen Barnett of Parkersburg; brother, Richard Skelton of Olney; sister, Barbara Lewis of Ladson, S.C.; sister, Marcy Jessup of Flora; sister, Vivian Earp of Flora; grandchildren; great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and one sister.
