Mary Janet (Williams) Green, 85, of Bradenton, Florida passed away August 23, 2018. Janet was born April 7, 1933 in Dixon, Illinois to William Thomas and Media (Howard) Williams.  Her family moved to Wayne Co. IL and then to Olney, Illinois when she was a child.

Janet graduated from Olney High School in 1950 and worked for General Telephone Co. in Olney until her marriage to James (Jim) Leroy Green of Chauncey, IL in October 1951. Janet and Jim lived in several different states and Canada during their marriage due to Jim’s work in the field of telecommunications.  They retired to Bradenton, FL and lived there for several years. While living in Ohio, Janet returned to school and graduated from Ohio State University. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi society.

Survivors include her husband Jim, a brother Robert Edwin (Judy) Williams of Olney; sister Margie A. Williams of Ocala, FL; nephews Bradford T. (Laura) Williams of Olney, Scott E. (Julie) Williams of Bridgeport and great nephews Carter, Dyllan, Jackson, Allex, and Cooper Williams.

She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant brother and an infant niece.

She will be missed by good friends Ann Fullenlove, Barbara Parkman and family, other family members and friends.

Cremation by Good Earth Crematorium in Bradenton, Fl.  No services
planned at this time.
