James Spieth

James Neil Spieth, 79, of Dallas, Texas, and formerly of Olney, died on December 10, 2010 at Medical City Dallas Hospital, in Dallas.  Burial will be in Crest Haven Cemetery, Claremont, at a later date.

Mr. Spieth was born December 6, 1931, the son of Fred and Erna Spieth and Angie Thompson.

He married Nancy (Zetsche) on April 27, 1952. She survives.

Mr. Spieth served in U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. After serving in Korea, he returned to Olney and joined his father in the family photography business, Spieth Studios, and was owner and operator until 1982. He then owned and operated Jim Spieth Photography in Dallas.

He was a member of First Christian Church and was a Certified Professional Photographer in the PP of A.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy; sons, Michael (Mary Lou), of Olney, and Thomas (Terri) of Murphy, Texas; grandsons, Bradley, of Dundas, Jeffrey (Reagan) of Dundas, and Tyler, of Murphy, Texas; great-grandsons Emery and Lynden, and sister, Iva May Robinson (Bob) of Winter Haven, Fla.

He was preceded in death by a son, John; parents, Angie Thompson, Fred and Erna Spieth; and brother, Fred Spieth Jr.
