Kenneth E. Negley, 61, of Chicago, formerly of Olney died Sunday January 9, 1994 in Lake Bluff, Ill.  Memorial service at the Drake Hotel in Chicago.

Mr. Negley was born June 12, 1932 in Olney, Ill. He was a former 10-year resident of St. Louis and has lived in Chicago since 1990. He was a member and currently serving as first reader at the Seventeenth Church of Christ, Scientist in Chicago, was a veteran of the U.S. Army, was a past president of the Olney School Board and had served on the Endowment Board of the Chicago Junior School in Elgin. He was also a commodities pool operator and the president of Foursquare Management Co. Ltd. in Chicago.

Surviving are his wife, Christine; seven children, Jennifer Negley of New York, Lorraine Negley of Chicago, Theresa Wied of Los Angeles, Mrs. Eric (Karen) Groenweghe of Portland, Oreg., Mrs. Duane (Mara) Burghard of Columbia, Mo., Diana Burghard of Williamsburg, Va. and David Burghard of Chicago; one brother, C. Richard (Carroll) Negley of Tavares, Fla.
