Eddie Crosby

Eddie Wayne Crosby, 66, of Broken Arrow, Okla. passed away Jan. 9, 2007, after fighting a brave battle with his illness.  Interment at Park Grove Cemetery in Broken Arrow with Broken Arrow Police Honor Guard.

Mr. Crosby was born Dec. 30, 1940 in Olney, the son of Roy Edward Crosby and Estelletta Ruby Cooper Crosby.

He served in the United States Army. He joined the Broken Arrow Police Department in 1970 and retired from the department in June 1996.

He loved to play golf and coached girls softball for many years. He was a member of the Corvette Club of Tulsa and was a race-car driver in his younger days. He was also a member of the Elks Club in Broken Arrow.

He will be remembered by everyone who knew him as a devoted husband, father and grandfather and a friend to anyone in need.

He is survived by his wife, Diane Crosby of Broken Arrow; his children, Vanessa Wynne and her husband, Robert; Teala McKenzie and her husband, Mark and Katrina Doyal and her husband, Denny; his children's mother, Kathy Swayne; a brother, Randy Crosby; several grandchildren and a great-grandson.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, David Crosby. 

Eddie Wayne Crosby passed away in 2008.  He went to school with us til he went to the Army. He passed away in 2008 in Oklahoma, where he had lived most of his adult life. He was a city police officer. His mother and father are both deceased. He is a cousin of mine. His father and my mother were brother and sister.

Larry Stevens (1959)

Eddie Crosby was on of the good guys, his mother and my mother were friends back in their day, altho we were not close in high school , I am sorry to hear of his passing.  I can imagine Eddie as a cop, tough but just.     Larry Stevens class of 59
