Patricia J. “Pat” (Harmon) Grove, age 81 of Olney, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday February 14, 2018 at her residence. Funeral services in the chapel of Thrasher Family Funeral Home in Olney. Burial at Haven Hill Memorial Gardens in Olney. Pastor Paul Goss officiating.

Pat was born on August 1, 1936 in Richland County, the daughter of Harvey and Pearl (Novak) Harmon. She later married the love of her life Gerald G. “Jerry” Grove on August 23, 1953 in Olney. He survives.

She loved the Lord with all of her heart and was a member of First Assembly of God in Olney for many years. She volunteered at the Good Samaritan in Olney with her husband and church family. She enjoyed being a greeter at church and meeting new people. She loved drinking coffee at McDonald’s with her friends every morning. She loved doing puzzles and playing cards with her family and friends. She loved going shopping and traveling to different places, especially Branson with her husband. She had a knack for hummingbirds and would always have 20 or more at her house every year she would feed. When she was younger she would go square dancing and has always enjoyed socializing with people. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family and she truly loved and enjoyed her grandchildren. She loved going and watching them play or coach different sports and would never miss a game. She worked as a part time Deputy Circuit Clerk at the Richland County Court House and for Kex Garmet Factory for many years. She will be sadly missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.

Pat is survived by her husband of 64 years Jerry Grove of Olney; daughter Jody Grove-Thrasher of Olney; 2 sons Jeff Grove (Amber) of Olney and Josh Grove (Megan) of Olney; 2 brothers-in-law Harold Roth of Ida, Michigan and Kenny Grove (Sue) of Claremont; sister-in-law Barb Harmon; 8 grandchildren, Brandis Grove (Tiffany), Christina Damm (Matt), Julia Miller (Curtis), Chase Thrasher (Natasha), Payton Young, Parker, Patton and Piper Mann; 7 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Harvey and Pearl Harmon, 3 brothers, Gene, Bill, and Jim Harmon, sister Betty Roth, infant daughter Julia Ann Grove, son-in-law Don Thrasher and several brothers and sisters-in-laws.

Doris Leet (Hough) (1953)

So sorry to hear of Pat's passing ... I remember her so full of fun when we were in high school together and double dated and watched the guys play basketball ... One day a couple of years ago I was in Olney and went to McDonalds for coffee and Pat was there and we had such a good visit ... Doris (Leet) Hough
