Jack E. Clevy, 82, of Claremont, passed away on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at his residence.  Funeral services at Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home, Olney with burial at Crest Haven Cemetery, Claremont.

He was born on December 21, 1934 in Richland Co., IL, the son of Perry and Garnett (Chaplin) Clevy.  He married Bonnie Ashworth on July 25, 1953 in Claremont.  She preceded him in death on June 26, 2013.

Jack worked as an electrician for 55+ years and was a member of the IBEW in Terre Haute. He was a devoted husband and loving father and took pleasure in spending time with his grandchildren. Jack and his wife, Bonnie, enjoyed nearly 60 years of marriage together. Jack was an avid outdoorsman and especially enjoyed coon hunting. He learned to play banjo and other instruments after he retired.

Jack is survived by his daughters, Karen Schneller and husband Fred of Decatur, IL and Brenda Beard and husband Robert of Olney; grandsons, Ted Schneller and wife Janel, Ben Schneller, Dalyn Beard and wife Tymber, Jesse Beard and wife Ashley; great grandkids, Terrence Beard, Ayden Beard, Avery Beard, Mackenzie Stubbe, Adysen Beard, Jackson Beard, Lana Schneller, and Faye Schneller; brothers in law, Bernard Phillips and Bill Ashworth; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, two brothers, and one sister.

Memorials can be made to Davita Dialysis Center in Olney.
