Charles C. Sterchi, 77, of Olney, died Sunday, January 16, 2011, at Burgin Manor in Olney.  Burial in Saron Church Cemetery in rural Dundas with full military rites performed by Olney veterans organizations.

Mr. Sterchi was born August 17, 1933, in Olney, the son of Roy F. and Mary Alice (Heitman) Sterchi. He married Esther Jane Boatman on September 25, 1955. She preceded him in death on October 5, 2006.

He was a retired farmer. He was a member of Saron Church of Grand Prairie. He was a member of American Legion and the Farm Bureau.

Mr. Sterchi is survived by his daughter, Janet Sterchi, of Olney; son, Larry Sterchi, of Dundas; son, Edd Sterchi and his wife, Julie, of Jackson, Mo.; son, David Sterchi and his wife, Deb, of Olney; sister, Veda Sterchi, of Olney; sister, Nadine McKinney, of Olney; grandchildren, Bethany Aldredge, Brittney Carver, Ben Sterchi, Sam Sterchi and Hillary Beard; and two great-grandchildren, Paxton Carver and Hollyn Aldredge, and one due at the end of January.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy F. and Mary Alice Sterchi, his wife, Esther Jane Sterchi, and one grandchild, Sarah Angelica Sterchi.
