Bernice M. (Misner) Scott, age 83, of Olney, passed away Saturday, July 1, 2017 at Burgin Manor in Olney.  Services in the chapel of Thrasher Family Funeral Home with burial at Crest Haven Memorial Park in Claremont. Pastor Tim Bursott will be officiating.

Bernice was born on November 30, 1933, in Richland County, the daughter of Emmers and Stella (Bullard) Misner. She later married Neal Scott on June 18, 1952 in Richland County. He survives.

She worked at Burgin Manor in Olney as a Registered Nurse for many years. She earned her Master’s Degree in Nursing and also taught nursing at St. Anthony’s Hospital. She was a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church. She was also a member of Lady’s Circle of the Church. She will be sadly missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.

Bernice is survived by her three sons, Marty Scott (Cherri) of Olney, Jay Scott (Paula) of Olney and John Scott (Paula) of Parkersburg; seven grandchildren, Toni Glinski (Derek Blain), Nakia Scott (Scott Butler), Amber Smith (Harold), Drew Pottorff (Tara), Ben Pottorff (Leslie) Katie Clark and Zoe White; 12 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents Emmers and Stella Misner; two sisters Ruth Lame and husband Rollis and Mary Muhs and husband Eugene.
