James Ellliot Doan

James E. Doan, 60, of Claremont, died Monday, March 7, 1994 in his home.  Burial at Crest Haven Cemetery with full military rites conducted by the Olney Veterans Organizations.

Doan was born Sept. 5, 1933 in Claremont, the son of Raymond E. and Iola (Farquhar) Doan. He married Jeannette(Jan)Hardy on April 18, 1962 in Cook County.

He owned and operated the Farmers Exchange in Claremont and currently was an independent crop insurance adjuster. He was a U.S. Army veteran and was also a member of the American Legion, VFW, and Claremont Communuity Center.

He is survived by his wife,of Claremont; four sons, Bill Doan and wife, Bev of Jackson, Mo., Jim Doan and wife Leighanne of Olney, Randy Doan of Claremont and Greg Doan,at home; a daughter Allison Doan of Troy; two brothers, Robert Doan of Olney and Frank Doan of Claremont; six sisters, Katherine Oney and Joan Satterthwaite both of Lawrenceville; Eleanor Hoff of Noble, Ruth Lyke of Sarasota, Fla., Betty Rosafort of Yorktown Heights, N.Y. and Lora Dowty of Claremont; and a sister-in-law Mary Jane Doan of Olney.

Doan was prededed in death by his parents, two brothers, Donald and Raymond and an infant brother, Paul.
