Gaile Marilyn (Martin) Herrin, 85, of Olney passed away on May 9, 2019 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, Indiana. Gaile was born on June 28, 1933 in Wapella, IL, the daughter of Nicholas C. Martin and Mary E. Cullison. She married Robert L. Herrin on June 28, 1952 in Olney, IL. He preceded her in death on May 18, 2016.

Gaile especially enjoyed being with her children, her grandchildren, and her great grandchildren. Each one was special to her. She worked in the Olney GTE Accounting office for 1-1/2 years, Roadmaster for 27-1/2 years in the Acct. Dept., then in product sales forecasting. When she retired, she went to work with her daughter, helping her in her daycare business. All the children called her 'Grandma'. She enjoyed watching and listening to her favorite inspirational church services and songs on the TV or the radio. She loved hearing the old-time hymns and reading her Bible.

Gaile is survived by daughters, Deborah Godfrey and husband John, and Diana L. Anderson; sons, David R. Herrin, and Danny E. Herrin and good friend Sherry Auteberry; granddaughters, Stacy Park and husband Travis, Ashley Taylor, and Paige Anderson; grandson, Jeremy Taylor and good friend Chelsie; step-grandsons, John Godfrey and wife Tonya, Todd Godfrey and wife Joy; step-great grandchildren, Eliza, Wesley, and Edan Godfrey; great grandchildren, Kailyn, Madison, and Coy Taylor, and Shawn Harmon; sisters, Bert Kroening of Albuquerque, NM, Lois Gillaspie of Olney, and Phyllis Slunaker of Olney; sister-in-law, Audrey Martin of Harrisburg, IL ; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Darlene Hayden, brother, Clifford Martin, brothers-in-law, Jack Barnes, Bill Kroening, Lewis Gillaspie, and Wayne Slunaker; sister-in-law, Dorothy Barnes, and son-in-law, John Anderson.

A Private Family Memorial Service will be on May 24, 2019.
