Max Eugene Sager, Sr., age 83, of Saint Ann, Missouri, Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church, died Thursday, March 16, 2017.  Funeral mass at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, St. Ann, Mo. Interment in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Florissant, Mo.

Max was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and retiree of the former McDonnell-Douglas Corp. where he was lead Software Engineer.

Max was born May 14, 1933 in Texas, a son of Lester R. and Cleora E. (Holtz) Sager.

He is survived by daughters, Dolores A. Bitner and Barbara J. Phares; sons Daniel R. Sager and Max Sager II; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and cousins, neighbors and friends.

Max is preceded in death by his wife, Joan D. (Rossman) Sager; his parents, Lester and Cleora Sager and brother, Billy Ray Sager.
