Shirley Lee (Hilterbrand) Miller, 84, of Olney, formerly of Lawrenceville, died Friday, May 17, 2019 in Olney. Shirley was born November 2, 1934 in rural Sumner, the daughter of Glen Hilterbrand and Leah (Crosby) Hilterbrand Cook. She was married to George Miller, and he preceded her in death in 2000.

Shirley retired from the ownership of Miller’s Motel in Lawrenceville. She liked to shop and collect antiques, genealogy, and collect and sew clothes for dolls. She enjoyed watching Netflix and watching shows about European royalty.

Shirley is survived by two daughters, Cathy Freas of Morgan City, Louisiana, Kristina Sanderson (Keith), of Olney,  two sons, Robert Young (Laura), of Griffith, Indiana, and Charles Miller (Daric Kindle) of Indianapolis, Indiana; one brother, Rodney Cook of Auburn, two sisters, Barbara Bromm of Olney, IL and Judy Hoover of Monroe, Georgia, eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Patria Wilson, brother Glen Hilterbrand, Jr., sister Harriett (Cook) Vincent, and granddaughter Trella Young.

There will be a funeral service 11:00 AM on Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home in Olney, with a visitation one hour prior. Burial will immediately follow at Crest Haven Memorial Park.
