Sondra Brinkley (Clodfelter)

Sondra F. Clodfelter, 76, of Vincennes, passed away at 7:26 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2017, at Greenwood Healthcare Center in Greenwood.

She was born in Olney, Illinois, on April 19, 1941, to Herschel and Zola (Shacklee) Brinkley. Sondra owned Sondra’s Custom Draperies and was a member of the Community United Methodist Church and Xi Delta Chapter Beta Sigma Phi Soroity. At church she had been involved with the music and youth activities and volunteered to help with her husband where the church needed them. She also volunteered at Helping His Hands, Lincoln/Clark Band Boosters, was a Kids Hope Mentor, and sung in the community choir. Sondra enjoyed traveling and was her grandchildren’s biggest fan.

Surviving are her husband, Galen Clodfelter, whom she married April 19, 1959; her children, Cheryl Meyer and her husband, Eric, of Vincennes, and Chris Clodfelter and his wife, Kimberly, of Evansville; two brothers, Richard Brinkley of Paris, Illinois, and Donald Brinkley of Springfield, Illinois; her grandchildren, Zane Clodfelter, Rae Marissa Clodfelter, Will Meyer, and Hannah Shields; and many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Sondra’s Life held at Community United Methodist Church with Rev. Stacy Downing and Rev. Ray Tromley officiating. Burial in Memorial Park Cemetery.

SO SORRY TO HEAR OF HER PASSING,SHE WILL BE MISSED BY MANY,SHE WAS MY CLASS MATE,MAY SHE BE IN GOD'S HANDS FOR EVER.TILL WE MEET AGIN IN HEAVEN.
