Delmar "Del" M. Kocher, 64, of Olney died Thursday, November 2, 2006 at Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney.  Cremation rites were accorded.

Mr. Kocher was born on January 20, 1942 in Richland County, the son of Omer and Anna (Weiler) Kocher. He married Mary R. Rauch on August 9, 1969.

He became disabled in 1978 while working at Marathon Tire in Olney. He enjoyed helping people by working on lawn mowers (small engines) when he could. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Olney. He was a Vietnam veteran and member of the Olney American Legion and lifetime member of the Olney Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Mr. Kocher is survived by his wife, of 37 years, Mary Kocher of Olney; two daughters, Rachel Patridge and Rebecca (Becky) Shultz; three grandchildren; four brothers, Donald Kocher, Hilary (Larry) Kocher, Keith Kocher and Darius Kocher; five sisters, Marvenne Wheat, Angie Klingler, Elaine Morlan, Yvonne Schneider and Carleen Carlson; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law, Floyd Rauch; and father-in-law, Cletus Rauch.
