Dan Howser - Class Of 1959

Daniel M. Howser, Jr., 72, of Olney passed away on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at his home.

Mr. Howser was born on June 14, 1941 in Los Angeles, California, the son of Daniel Monroe and Lenora (Swinson) Howser. He married Judy (Nichols) on January 23, 1965. She preceded him in death on January 1, 2009. He later married Alexis (Osterman) on September 26, 2009. She survives.

He was a U.S. Army Veteran, having served for 19 years, had worked as a Corrections Officer for the Richland County Sheriff's Department and later for the U.S. Postal Service. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Shriner's, American Legion, 40 & 8, VFW Auxiliary, and was a volunteer at The Master's Hands.

Daniel is survived by his wife, Alexis Howser of Olney; Daughter, Debra Longbons and fiance, Bill Humes of Olney; Daughter, Theresa Baker and husband James of Warner-Robins, GA; Son, Thomas Howser of Calhoun; Son, James Howser and wife, Shanna of Flora; Stepson, Carl Davis and Kristen Oswalt, Truckee, CA; Stepson, Thomas Wain Davis and wife, Kathy of Olney; Stepdaughter, Kimberly Seaton and husband, Quenton of Olney; Many Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Judy Howser, and two sisters.

DAN WAS A GREAT FRIEND,RAN AROUND WITH HIM IN THE YOUNGER DAYS.WE KEPT IN TOUCH THRU THE YEARS.THE LORD GOT A GREAT MAN,WILL MISS YOU BUDDY,KOOKIE.
