Richard J. Landenberger

Dick Landenberger graduated from ERHS with the Class of 1957.

He was a member of the ROTC at Rose-Hulman Institute in Terre Haute, IN. He entered the Army Ordinance Corps on April 1, 1963 at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD. After basic training, Dick was given a permanent assignment to the 820th Ordinance Company at Ft. Benning, GA. He was involved in several missions including preparation for the invasion of Cuba (which didn't take place) and Vietnam (which did). As the Company Commanding Officer, he helped prepare his unit for a Vietnam tour but was discharged shortly before deployment.

After his discharge, Dick participated in the Reserves for another six years.
