TAC’s 2015 Scholarship Drive

 

 

 

Tuesday evening, May 5th, the Awards program for the Seniors, Class of 2015, was conducted with ten seniors receiving each a $1,000 scholarship, the funding for which came from donations of TAC members.

 

On this occasion, two members, Judy Hill, TAC Faculty Coordinator and Kellie Cook, TPAA President, presented the certificates and checks to the following recipients.

 

 

 

Payton Blakney

Student:  Payton Blakney

Parent(s):  Matthew and Jeanie Blakney

Plans after high school:  Attend OCC and then transfer to the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign to study Advertising.

Long-term career goals:  After I receive a bachelor’s degree in Advertising, I plan to find an Advertising Agency around Olney to work.

Dalyn Brach

Student:  Dalyn Brach

Parent(s):  Stephen and Jennifer Brach

Plans after high school:  OCC then transfer to SIUE.

Long-term career goals:  Dentistry

Expression of thanks to Tiger Alumni Center:  I would like to express my gratitude to the Alumni Center for their recognition and contribution to furthering my education.

 

 

James Brewer

Student:  James Brewer

Plans after high school:  I will be studying Cross-Cultural Ministry at Lincoln Christian University.

Long-term career goals:  I plan to work as a missionary in an urban setting.

Express of thanks to Tiger Alumni Center:  I want to thank you for investing in me.  My financial concerns are great when it comes to college and you have lifted a lot of that off my shoulders.  Thanks for supporting me in the path I have chosen for my life.

 

 

Hailey Flanagan

Plans after high school:  Attend Illinois State University

Long-term career goals:  To be successful in whatever I do.

Expression of thanks to Tiger Alumni Center:  Thank you so much for the scholarship award you have granted me.  It’s an honor to receive it because it means I have fulfilled my goal of representing my school in the best way possible.

 

 

Dylan Forys

Student:  Dylan Forys

Plans after high school:  I plan to go to Cincinnati Christian University.

Luke Hahn

Plans after high school:  Attend University of Illinois majoring in Civil Engineering.

Long-term career goals:  To become a civil engineer.  Hope to return to Olney some day.

Troy Houchin

Plans after high school:  Attend the University of Illinois majoring in Engineering Physics.

Long-term career goals:  Obtain a steady, well-paying job.  Hopefully doing something meaningful and being on the forefront of my field.

Expression of thanks to Tiger Alumni Center:  I would like to thank the Tiger Alumni Center for the recognition and the scholarship.  It will make a dent in the large burden of college tuition.  I would like to thank all the Alumni and use my scholarship to further my education.

Plans after high school:  Attend University of Illinois majoring in Civil Engineering.

Long-term career goals:  Return to Olney and help develop future buildings and structures.

Plans after high school:  Attend Fairfield Community College to obtain a certificate in Graphic Arts and Design.

Long-term career goals:  Attend a University and obtain a degree in Graphic Arts and Design.

Expression of thanks to Tiger Alumni Center:  Thank you to the Tiger Alumni Committee for the generous scholarship.  This will set me on the right track to fulfill my future goals.

Plans after high school:  Attend Rose-Hulman majoring in Mechanical Engineering.

Long-term career goals:  Become a professional engineering.
